Export Presets
An Export Preset is a saved template that tells the platform which document fields to include in a CSV export, what to label each column, and what order the columns should appear in. Presets save you from re-configuring your export every single time.
Viewing your presets
The Export Presets list shows every preset's name, description, and when it was last modified, with options to configure or delete each one.
Creating a preset
- Go to Export Presets → Create Preset.
- Under Preset Details, give it a name and an optional description, and choose a file format (CSV is currently the only supported format).
- Under Column Mapping, click Add Column for each column you want in the export:
- Field - choose which internal document field this column pulls its value from. This list is built from every field defined across all of your Document Types, so it works even if a preset is used across different kinds of documents.
- Header - the column heading that will appear in the exported file (for example, "Invoice Number" instead of the internal field name).
- Use the up/down arrows on a column to reorder it, or the trash icon to remove it.
- Click Save Changes.
Because the field list is shared across all Document Types, you can build one preset that pulls consistent columns (like "Document ID" or "Total") from several different kinds of documents at once.
Editing or deleting a preset
Open a preset from the list to change its details or column mapping, or click Delete to permanently remove it. Deleting a preset cannot be undone.
If you navigate away from the preset editor with unsaved changes, you'll be asked to confirm before your edits are discarded.
